2D & 3D CAD Drawings
We supply accurate CAD drawings created to help visualise your design. Our team quickly delivers 2D CAD drawings and 3D CAD modelling to your specific requirements for architects, engineers, construction managers and many others in commercial, construction, private and retail sectors. Once we get our design drawings approved they are put into fabrication and production drawing and sent to the workshop.
CNC Fiber Laser Cutting
Our CNC Fiber laser cutting machine uses active optical fibers to create a laser beam and a transport fiber to transmit this to the machine’s cutting head. This super-hot laser is condensed down to a narrow beam and is used to cut through metals of various thicknesses. This machine can cut 3000mm x 1500mm sheets and has an exchange platform for swapping sheets quickly. We use it for high speed cutting of brass, stainless steel, aluminium and copper. It has a high cutting precision making it ideal for cutting parts with complex geometries.
CNC Plasma Cutting
Plasma cutting is a process that cuts through electrically conductive materials by means of an accelerated jet of hot plasma. This technique is unrivalled in cost-effectiveness when it comes to cutting thick metals, this machine can cut 25mm thick plate and requires low tool maintenance costs. Our plasma can accommodate a sheet size of 4000mm x 2000mm.
Powder Coating
We do all our own powder coating in house so we have full control of lead times and quality. Our powder coating oven is 6000mm long x 3000mm wide x 2400mm high, so we can accommodate large items and large batches. We specialise in anodised powder coated colours like brass, bronze and coppers but we have a full range of standard RAL colours and lacquers too.
Shot Blast Cleaning
Shot blasting is a highly effective method for cleaning, roughening, and removing contaminants from metal surfaces in preparation for finished coatings or further processing. The process removes rust, scale, old coatings, and other contaminants, leaving a clean and profiled surface. Our blast room is 9000mm long x 2400mm wide x 2400mm high.
Sheet Metal
Our 135 ton CNC press brake is used for folding and forming our metalwork. It can fold sections up to 3700mm long. We use it alongside our laser and plasma cutters but also our sheet metal guillotine which has a sheet capacity of 3000mm long x 6mm thick.
Fabrication & Welding
We can accommodate a large capacity and volume of metal fabrication depending on the project size. We fabricate and weld with a range of metals including mild steel, brass, stainless steel, aluminium and copper.
Polishing
Here at O’Regan Ironworks we have a lot of experience in metal polishing. We can offer various polished finishes on metal including brushed, satin and mirror polish. On our conveyor belt fed polishing machine we can also polish sheets from 40 grit to 400 grit, this machine has a sheet capacity of 900mm wide.
Special Finishes & Patinas
At O’Regan Ironworks we can go beyond the normal finishes, we create patinas and special finishes on metal like brass, copper and mild steel. The finish can be altered depending on the design intent or clients requirements. This for example could be blackened steel, aged brass, antique copper or Corten steel.
